Ruby Beach, Lake Quinault, Lake Crescent
I just returned from another day sightseeing around the Olympic National Park in northwestern Washington. This time, we stopped at Ruby Beach (just south of Forks) and the Lake Quinault Lodge for lunch, before a wonderful second visit to Lake Crescent.
On this trip, we headed around the south side of the Olympic mountain range, whereas we took the northern route last time (click here for that blog post).

The photographs are just wonderful. The images could easily be mistaken for Monster Island (taken from the Godzilla films) or Skull Island the home of King Kong.
